Getting Closer To Bora Bora

Hi Everyone,

A short noon report today, but we can report that we caught 3 fish although two got away. Maybe the bringing in of fish and numerous sail changes caused Wade’s finger to start hurting and swell again, that being the one poked by the big lobster. Ice seems to be helping and there appears to be no blatant signs of infection, just swelling and some redness.

The light winds continued through last night also through the day. However, during the day the wind direction switched such that it was directly on the nose. Five knots of wind does not present much head wind, but some how it still slowed down our motoring speed by a knot. Thus we only made good 99 miles towards Bora Bora over the last 24 hours. Even this evening the wind still remains light, almost too light for a sail to be up, but at least the 4 to 5 knots of wind switched direction to off the beam. At noon our position was 12 degrees 55′ S and 155 degrees 40′ W and we were 241 miles from Bora Bora and on a course of 130 degrees.

Cheers,

Wade and Sara
