End of the Pacific Ocean

Today was nice and relatively calm motor sailing. The sky was never clear, but the fog seemed just a little bit brighter at times, like the sun might try to come out, and this extra quasi brightness seemed to increase the temperature a bit. No fish were caught today, again. But hopefully salmon will be plentiful for to catch upon our arrival. Speaking of arriving, we are getting closer, only a couple days away. And tomorrow morning we will leave the Pacific Ocean and enter the Bearing Sea. And the next 24 hours after that will be a race to Dutch Harbor to stay ahead of a low/front that will be on our tail. We hope to be anchored just before 25 to 30 knot winds hit. However, if we do not beat the front, at least the winds will be from behind, which is the most comfortable way to have such winds. It is exciting to be thinking of arriving soon.

Over the last 24 hours we are now 133 miles closer to Dutch Harbor with 227 miles left to go.

Cheers,
Wade and Sara
